Science proves that you can't think your way into healing trauma. Understanding why you react to stressors is beneficial — but until you acknowledge the stress stored in your body, you will forever be running in circles in your mind. Healing the nervous system and completing the stress cycle is what will truly help you move past old patterns and into a place of embodied alignment. I will guide you through various somatic practices such as body scans, gentle movement and postures, self-soothing exercises, somatic visualizations, progressive muscle relaxation, and tuning into the body's physical sensations to access feelings of safety, connection, and clarity.

I am a certified Women's Somatic Coach certified through The Embody Lab and currently in the process in receiving my certification in EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) through EFT International and Polyvagal theory through Polyvagal Institute.

I have been an educator for the past 8 years and have a passion for helping others. In my coaching business, I help women move from feeling stuck and self-sabotaging to living with clarity, confidence, and purpose using body-based practices.

My journey into somatics includes years upon years of trying on different modalities to heal my own trauma. In my teenage years I started experiencing panic attacks for the first time. Medication and talk therapy was a good start, but still found myself struggling to ease the panic. I spent thousands of dollars and years in therapy revisiting the same problems over and over again to no avail. It would take me hours to calm down from a panic attack, and I experienced them frequently. I tried meditation, breathing exercises, and mindfulness; all very helpful tools and modalities, but something was still missing. It wasn't until I moved into a framework of somatics; being deeply in tune with and aware of my body's nervous system, that I began to feel relief from the years of trauma I endured. My panic attacks became so much easier to manage, to the point of rarely experiencing them, and nowhere near the extent of what I used to.

I now use somatic practices daily for self-soothing, helping me regulate my emotions and assist my way out of states of fight, flight, freeze and fawn. Somatic practices have helped me build confidence, become present, be more decisive, and feeling safer in my body. I decided early on that I never wanted anyone to suffer the way I did, and I became dedicated to helping others facing the same obstacles. I can now say I am happy to share with other women what I wish I was taught long ago.
